Radiation Therapist Educator
What you will bring to the role
- Bachelor’s degree in medical radiation science (radiation therapy), or qualification deemed equivalent by employer. General Registration as a Medical Radiation Therapist by the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority and holder of IA13 Radiation Licence from the NSW Environmental Protection Authority.
- Proven capacity to supervise, educate, train, and objectively assess Radiation Therapists and students in current techniques and technologies, with the ability to provide advice to remedy deficiencies, as well as being able to recognise and support talent to develop team capabilities.
- Open and friendly communicator with demonstrated high level communication skills in written, verbal, and electronic formats.
- Demonstrated advanced experience in all areas of radiation therapy practice, with detailed knowledge in modern and emerging radiotherapy techniques and technology.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing and leading teams in an environment that delivers a coordinated high standard of care for all stakeholders.
- Knowledge and experience in different teaching and learning methods, with evidence of education to large groups via presenting and public speaking.
- Commitment and active involvement in managing own and others continuing professional development.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
