Working within the Centre of Expertise and Delivery Hub at the Health Education and Training Institute (HETI), this role assists with the planning, coordination and implementation of education and training initiatives that contribute to culturally safe practice across the statewide workforce.
This position supports project activities across the full education lifecycle, including preparation, scheduling, documentation, data collection and analysis, and the coordination of stakeholder engagement. The Project Officer helps ensure education programs are developed and delivered in ways that reflect cultural protocols, community priorities and the expectations of Aboriginal governance groups.
The role contributes to key system priorities, including the Closing the Gap Implementation Plan and the Aboriginal Health Transformation Agenda, by supporting culturally governed project processes, tracking progress and assisting with evaluation and reporting. It is well suited to someone who is highly organised, attentive to detail and committed to supporting culturally safe education and training environments.
This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful, community‑led cultural capability work, and to support the ongoing development of high‑quality education and training across NSW Health.

- Values culturally safe and inclusive practices, and is comfortable supporting culturally governed education and training programs
- Uses good judgement when handling sensitive information, and upholds confidentiality, accuracy and professionalism
- Is curious, willing to learn and motivated to support the continuous improvement of Aboriginal Cultural Capability work across NSW Health
- Enjoys being part of a purpose‑driven team contributing to meaningful change in the health system
