An opportunity has become available for a Pharmacist Grade 1/2 to join our casual pool which is located across the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.
The Pharmacy department provides a comprehensive pharmacy service to patients during their admission to hospital and for those attending outpatient clinics. The dedicated pharmacy team work collaboratively to provide medications in a safe and timely manner with a focus on patient-centred care.
Your role will provide safe, efficient and effective distribution of pharmaceuticals to wards and departments and provide assistance in the preparation of manufactured sterile and non-sterile products, and dispensing of prescriptions and associated clerical duties.

What you will bring to the role
- Full pharmacist registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) with no restriction to scope of practice.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills written and verbal with the ability to communicate issues relating to medication safety.
- Demonstrated understanding of quality improvement processes.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical pharmacy preferably within tertiary Australian Hospital.
- Current drivers licence and willingness to use for work purposes.
