What you'll be doing
As the Nursing Unit Manager Level 1, you will provide operational, clinical and professional leadership for the Paediatric Outpatients service. You will oversee the delivery of safe, high quality nursing care while fostering a positive team culture and ensuring excellence in patient outcomes.
Manage the day-to-day operations, patient flow and nursing services within Paediatric Outpatients.
Lead, support and develop nursing staff through recruitment, mentoring, performance management and professional development.
Drive quality improvement, patient safety initiatives and person-centred care across the service.
Manage workforce, financial and departmental resources to achieve service objectives.
Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement aligned with WSLHD values.

Essential Criteria
Registration: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated relevant clinical nursing experience with postgraduate nursing qualifications in specialty or management, or working towards same
Demonstrated ability to lead change and to balance competing demands.
Demonstrated ability to motivate, manage and develop nursing/midwifery staff
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills
Proven ability to assess nursing/ resource requirements and utilisation
