What you'll be doing
As a Senior Medical Radiation Scientist, you will deliver advanced diagnostic imaging services while supporting operational leadership within your modality. You will:
Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging in line with legislation, standards and policies
Manage daily modality operations, bookings and workflow to optimise access and utilisation
Lead, supervise and support staff performance, rostering and service continuity
Drive quality assurance, service improvement and change management initiatives
Educate, mentor and support staff and university students in the clinical setting

Essential Criteria:
Qualification: Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science – Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
Registration: Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA).
License: NSW EPA Radiation Licence IA14.
Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience in area of specialisation– including protocol development and ability to teach junior staff.
Experience working in a busy hospital environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to solve clinical situations and to develop effective solutions.
Demonstrated experience in establishing and managing quality assurance and improvement initiatives, including use of audit data to inform staff development and service evaluation.
Demonstrated experience at developing, presenting and managing educational and learning packages for the staff of the department and visiting university students, as well as an emphasis on orientating, teaching and mentoring within the clinical setting.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate imaging service delivery through effective resource allocation and collaboration with management to improve patient access, workflow efficiency, and staff engagement.
