This landmark initiative connects the entire public health system, giving clinicians real-time access to unified data and enabling safer, more transparent and high-quality care for every patient, everywhere.

About this Role
We have an exciting opportunity for 10x Information Technology Trainee to join the Single Digital Patient Record Implementation Authority (SDPRIA) and eHealth NSW, supporting innovative projects that improve healthcare delivery across the state. Reporting to the Director of Aboriginal Health, you will work under the guidance of a Supervisor and local Manager to provide administrative and technical support, assist with ICT-related tasks, and contribute to the efficient operation of the business unit. This traineeship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic public sector environment, exposure to large-scale health technology initiatives, and opportunities for learning and career development.
 

The Aboriginal Adult Apprenticeships and Traineeships (AAAT) opportunities are funded under the Training Services NSW, Elsa Dixon Aboriginal Employment Grant. This Initiative is designed to support Aboriginal people to access employment and career development pathways into the NSW Public Sector and in Closing The Gap.

About you
To be successful, you will:

  • Comply with the responsibilities relating to the Trainee Training Contract between SDPRIA/eHealth NSW, NSW State Training, the RTO, the Apprenticeship Centre and the individual. This includes the responsibility of completing structured training, working full-time and the attainment of Certificate IV or Diploma of IT.
  • Be willing to rotate through the various Metropolitan Sydney locations as part of a comprehensive development program. This may require relocation for development opportunities for limited periods of time as directed by the reporting line Manager. You will need to arrange your own travel to these sites, noting that public transport options may be limited
  • 3x positions require candidates to be at least 21 years of age.
  • 4x positions require candidates to have completed Year 10 in or after 2022.
  • 3x positions have no specific requirements and are open to candidates aged 16 to 65
