About the Opportunity
The Business Analyst supports the Information Technology team by providing technical business analysis, review of requirements illicitation and documentation to support the delivery of technical solutions across the organisation, and support for new and existing business process and system improvements.

Essential Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst in an IT environment (Agile Software Development, Solution Delivery or Support).
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and understanding business needs and technology solutions, with proven analytical skills to enable the development of business process and/or technical solutions, including ability to write documentation that clearly defines business problems in a clear manner.
- Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering and documentation, business process modelling, user story creation, functional/non-functional analysis, and business case development.
- Proven experience in engaging and collaborating with a range of business stakeholders to develop ongoing working relationships that achieve positive outcomes.
- Degree or higher in business, technology and/or equivalent experience
Pre-Screening Questions
- Can you describe an ICT project or initiative where you gathered requirements. How did you ensure that the requirements were accurate and aligned with both business needs and any technical constraints. How did you manage non-functional requirements such as security, availability or performance and ensure requirements traceability to the solution design and testing phases
- Can you describe a situation where you worked with both business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver a system change or enhancement. How did you manage competing priorities and varying interpretations to ensure a successful outcome?
- Can you provide an example of how you reviewed a disjointed or manual business process and recommended improvements that involved technology (e.g. automation, process simplification and or system integration). What approach did you adopt and what tools did you use? What was the outcome.
