You will be part of the NSLHD Health Team based at Strawberry Hills as part of the Joint Child Protection Response Program
What you'll be doing
The Joint Child Protection and Response Program (JCPRP) Health Clinician position provides direct support to children, young people who have experienced serious and criminal sexual and physical abuse and neglect and their non-offending families referred to JCPRP. The JCPRP Health Clinician supports the JCPRP Senior Health Clinician in managing the health component of JCPRP in partnership with JCPRP inter agency partners, NSW Police and Department of Family and Community Services.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Degree in Social Work and eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers and demonstrated extensive experience as a level 2 and/or other relevant equivalent professional experience and unrestricted NSW drivers licence.
- Extensive clinical experience in relation to child protection intervention and crisis intervention, counselling and case management including working with children, young people and their families.
Demonstrated high level understanding, ability to work collaboratively and maintain relationships with interagency partners including the NSW Police Force and the Department of Family and Community Services, Health services and other key stakeholders in relation to children and young people who have experienced serious and criminal sexual assault, physical abuse and neglect.
