As Nurse Unit Manager, you will lead and manage the Emergency Short Stay Unit, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and operational efficiency. You will play a pivotal role in shaping clinical practice, supporting staff development, and driving quality outcomes.
Coordinate patient services and nursing staff management within the unit
Ensure delivery of safe, holistic, and patient-centred care
Lead workforce planning, recruitment, and performance management
Manage resources effectively, including budgets and patient flow

Essential Requirements
Registration: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated relevant clinical nursing experience with postgraduate nursing qualifications in specialty or management, or working towards same
Demonstrated ability to lead change and to balance competing demands.
Demonstrated ability to motivate, manage and develop nursing/midwifery staff
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills
Proven ability to assess nursing/ resource requirements and utilisation
