About the Role
This position plays a pivotal leadership role in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of Pharmacy Services across Coffs Clinical Network (CCN). Working in close collaboration with the Director of Pharmacy, the role is responsible for translating strategic priorities into day-to-day practice while maintaining high standards of clinical care and operational performance. The incumbent oversees the daily management of pharmacy staff, supports workforce development through targeted training and upskilling initiatives, and contributes to education across the broader network.
With a strong clinical focus, the role provides expert advice on medication use and safety, supports incident identification and reporting, and leads quality improvement initiatives such as medication safety and antimicrobial stewardship programs. The position also contributes to the development and review of medication-related policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with best practice and regulatory standards.
Acting as a senior clinical pharmacist, the role balances operational leadership with hands on clinical responsibilities as required. It serves as a key liaison with the Director of Pharmacy, providing strategic and operational counsel, supporting service coordination, and ensuring the department functions smoothly within budget parameters. In the Director’s absence, the position assumes full leadership responsibilities, acting as delegate for critical decisions.
Additionally, this role fosters a positive, ethical, and patient-centred culture, serving as a role model and mentor to junior pharmacists while promoting excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across the pharmacy workforce.
This is a permanent full-time role based at the Coffs Harbour Health Campus.

You are confident in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, adapting my communication style to support strategic objectives while fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
A strong advocate for teamwork, you lead by example, supporting, mentoring, and developing staff while building cooperation and addressing barriers to effective communication and collaboration. Your experience in service planning includes identifying opportunities for improvement, implementing targeted initiatives, and evaluating outcomes to ensure continuous quality improvement and achievement of key performance indicators.
