Dental Assistant

1. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
2. Certificate III in Dental Assisting recognised by the Dental Assistant Education Council of Australia.
3. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, in interacting and liaising with members of staff and members of the public.
4. Demonstrated high level skills, knowledge and ability to provide competent dental assisting to patients of all ages and medical complexities, ensuring excellence in patient care.
5. Demonstrated advanced computer literacy, data entry and keyboard skills including using patient management systems e.g. Titanium.
6. Demonstrated experience in following effective infection control and sterilisation guidelines in all aspects of dental assisting.
7. Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritise workloads and operate as part of a team.
8. Current valid driver’s licence for use in NSW and Australia and ability to travel and work across all NSLHD dental clinics as required.
