About Us – eHealth NSW

At eHealth NSW, we’re leading the digital transformation of Australia’s largest health system. As NSW Health’s digital centre of excellence, we design, build and support world-class ICT solutions that improve patient care across the state.

eHealth is implementing a NSW Health wide Cyber Security Uplift program. This multi-year strategic initiative is designed to enhance cyber resilience across the state's health system. We are working with Local Health Districts, Pillars, and Agencies to improve how we detect and respond to risks and to make sure everyone follows consistent security standards. By investing in modern technologies, governance frameworks, and workforce capability, NSW Health is proactively addressing the evolving cyber threat landscape to safeguard critical health services and patient data.

About the Opportunity

As a Cyber Engineering Analyst at eHealth NSW, you will help make a real difference in healthcare through
protecting critical digital health systems that support clinicians, patients and communities across the state.

This role offers the opportunity to operate as a trusted subject matter expert, providing advanced technical advice, shaping cyber security uplift activities, and partnering with delivery teams to embed strong security outcomes across complex and high-risk environments.

In this role, you will:

•    Provide expert advice on cyber security controls (ACSC Essential Eight, NSW Cyber Security Policy) and drive continuous improvement of the ISMS to uplift compliance across NSW Health assets.
•    Conduct technical risk assessments and recommend effective mitigation strategies to maintain high security maturity across digital health systems and infrastructure.
•    Evaluate and implement fit-for-purpose security tools and methodologies aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
•    Partner with project and technical teams to embed security requirements into solution design, delivery and incident response activities.
•    Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance cyber security policies, awareness programs and resilience against emerging threats.

About You

•    Tertiary qualifications in Cyber Security, Information Security or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in large, complex ICT environments.
•    Strong knowledge of ACSC Essential Eight, ISO/IEC 27001, IRAP and the NSW Cyber Security Policy, with the ability to assess risk and deliver practical recommendations.
•    Demonstrated experience supporting or securing critical infrastructure or healthcare systems (highly regarded).
•    Proven ability to communicate and influence across governance, technical and operational teams without direct authority.
•    Experience delivering cyber security projects and/or providing cyber security and risk consulting services.
