About the Opportunity
As a Clinical Technology Engineering Lead within our Single Digital Patient Record Implementation Authority (SDPRIA), you will lead clinical engineering engagement, design, and integration activities that support the State Digital Patient Record (SDPR). You will work with multidisciplinary teams to translate clinical and technical requirements into safe, effective, and scalable solutions, while providing expert advice on medical device standards, asset management, and systems integration. You will collaborate with stakeholders across NSW Health, influence decision‑makers to resolve complex challenges, and provide technical leadership to support both remote and onsite activities. This is a dynamic role suited to someone who can balance competing priorities, adapt to rapidly evolving technologies, and foster a constructive and collaborative workplace culture.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead clinical engineering engagement, research, and design activities to translate clinical and technical requirements into safe, scalable solutions for the SDPR.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across NSW Health, providing expert advice in auditing, designing, testing, and implementation aligned with relevant medical device standards.
  • Guide asset management approaches for clinical technologies, ensuring compliance with policies, lifecycle planning and effective integration of medical devices and systems.
  • Influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders to resolve complex technical challenges and develop workable, system‑wide solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and support, including preparing reports and presentations, building partnerships, and delivering both remote and onsite assistance across NSW Health facilities.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • You are an experienced clinical engineer with strong technical expertise in medical devices, systems integration, and relevant standards such as ISO 60601, AS3551 and ISO 80001.
  • You have excellent problem‑solving skills and can translate complex clinical and technical requirements into practical, scalable solutions.
  • You are a confident communicator who builds strong relationships, collaborates effectively with diverse stakeholders, and influences outcomes at senior levels.
  • You are highly organised, adaptable, and able to balance competing priorities in a rapidly evolving technology environment.
  • You demonstrate proactive leadership, a commitment to quality and safety, and contribute positively to a constructive, team‑focused workplace culture.

You will succeed in this role if you:

  • Enjoy working in an environment where no two days are the same.
  • Are motivated by tight deadlines and problem solving on the go.
  • Can juggle multiple priorities while staying calm and outcome focused.
  • Thrive when collaborating with others to deliver results in a fast moving space.
