Are you an experienced Social Worker ready to take the next step into a senior leadership role?
Lead, support and inspire a dynamic Emergency Department Gosford Social Work team while contributing to site-wide leadership across one of NSW's busiest hospital.
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Social Worker to join the Emergency Department leadership team as a Social Work Level 4 Emergency Department Team Leader / Deputy Site Manager at Gosford Hospital.
About the Opportunity
- Provide advanced social work assessment, crisis intervention, counselling and complex case management within inpatient settings.
- Lead and support a cohort of inpatient social workers, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence and continuous improvement.
- Deliver expert consultation and advice to multidisciplinary teams, management and external agencies on complex psychosocial matters.
- Drive service development, quality improvement, evaluation, reporting and research initiatives that enhance patient outcomes.
- Provide professional supervision, mentoring and education to social work staff and students.
- Contribute to operational leadership, workforce planning and the ongoing development of inpatient social work services across CCLHD.

About You
- Degree qualification in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Extensive clinical experience within hospital or acute healthcare settings, including the management of complex psychosocial presentations.
- Advanced knowledge of psychosocial assessment, risk assessment and crisis intervention
- Strong leadership, supervision and team development skills.
- Strong clinical reasoning, decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously in complex situations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, service improvement, education and professional excellence.
