The Central Coast Local Health District is seeking passionate and committed individuals to join the Youth Access Team (YAT) at headspace Gosford, headspace Wyong and headspace Lake Haven in temporary or permanent positions.
We are offering a Permanent Full Time role and a Temporary Part time at 24 hours per week until 09th May 2027.
This role is suitable for the following:
Counsellor Level 1 and 2
Occupational Therapist Level 1 and 2
Social Worker Level 1 and 2
Welfare Officer Level 1 and 2
- Psychologist
- Registered Nurse

About You
- Minimum Tertiary Bachelor Degree in Community Welfare, Counselling, Social Work (where degree provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work), Occupational Therapy (plus general registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia) (Health Professional L1-L2), or other qualifications deemed relevant by the employer; or Tertiary Degree Psychology (4 year degree with 4th year Honours in Psychology) plus either provisional or full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA/Psychology Board of Australia (Psychologist Yr 1-Yr 9);or Tertiary Degree in Nursing plus Division 1 Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA (RN Y1-8)
In addition Welfare Officers, Counsellors, Social Workers, Sexual Assault Workers and Occupational Therapists are required to have a minimum of 3 years clinical experience in Community Welfare/Counselling/Social Work/Occupational Therapy in order to be classified as a Level 2. - You have experience working with young people (aged 125-25 years)and a demonstrated understanding and knowledge of their mental health needs.
- Demonstrated skills in engagement with young people and their families to work holistically with them around mental health issues.
- Willingness to travel to other locations within the District.
