Cardiac Rehab Clinical Nurse Specialist
Join our dedicated Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) - Cardiac Rehabilitation team and contribute to delivering high-quality, person-centred care and make a meaningful impact on patients’ recovery. There are 2 permanent part time positions available - 24hrs per week at Royal North Shore Hospital and 24hrs per week at Mona Vale Hospital. We’re seeking a compassionate and motivated cardiac rehab nurses to deliver evidence-based care, support lifestyle modification, and empower patients to regain confidence after cardiac events. In this rewarding role, you’ll work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, provide education, and promote heart healthy living. Where you'll be working
You will be based at RNSH or Mona Vale Hospital and may be asked to work across both sites when required.
What you'll be doing
The purpose of the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) position is to provide senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team or service. The CNS employs advanced clinical skills and exercises extended autonomy of decision making working closely with managers and other senior clinicians.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Nurse Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification or such other qualifications or relevant equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to mentor and coach nursing staff to enhance professional development.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and initiating activities to improve clinical service delivery and patient clinical outcomes.
- Demonstrated skills in computer use and applications such as Windows, word processing and database.
- Demonstrated ability to work individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- NSW Drivers Licence is desirable.
