Paediatric Eating Disorder Clinical Nurse Specialist
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners' Regulation Authority (AHPRA) and relevant post-registration qualifications and at least three (3) years full time equivalent clinical experience working with child and adolescent consumers with Eating Disorders and their families/carers or such other qualifications or relevant equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of people with feeding and eating disorders using evidenced based interventions. In particular, demonstrated knowledge of the use of CBT-E, Family Based Therapy, trauma informed care, telehealth and virtual models of care, and delivery of group therapies in treatment and meal support.
- High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated capacity to engage, negotiate and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders (such as multidisciplinary healthcare providers, GPs, non-government and other government agencies) for a client group who are experiencing complex mental health issues. Demonstrated high level computer literacy and capacity to use health related information technology systems.
