John Hunter Hospital is seeking motivated and organised individuals to join the Maternity and Gynaecology Outpatient Team. In this frontline administrative role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality care to women and their families across both onsite and satellite outpatient clinics. You will be a key member of a supportive, multidisciplinary team, contributing to the smooth operation of services and helping ensure every patient receives the care and attention they deserve.

- 1 x Permanent Full-time role
- 1 x Temporary Part-Time role (Mon–Thu)

About the Role
As an Administration Officer Level 2, you will provide consistent, high-quality customer service as the first point of contact, including managing telephone and email enquiries, updating patient details, filing, referral management, and supporting the administration of paper-based medical records.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, establishing positive relationships with staff at all levels and contributing to the smooth operation of the Outpatient Service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide professional, friendly, and efficient service to women and families attending Maternity and Gynaecology Outpatients
- Maintain a well-organised, accurate, and confidential filing system
- Ensure timely and precise completion of administrative tasks, including updating patient records and processing referrals
- Prioritise workloads effectively to meet the demands of a busy outpatient service
- Support satellite clinics with accurate patient information and medical record management
- Work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical staff to achieve quality service outcomes
