About the Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). The Workers Compensation Officer is responsible for the lodgement and management of workers compensation claims for SLHD (primarily RPAH). This position works closely with the RPAH Recovery@Work Service Manager, RPAH Recovery@Work Coordinators, SLHD Workers Compensation Claims Manager and other Workers Compensation Managers to support injury management and improve workers compensation claims outcome. This position liaises with and responds to queries from workers, managers, Treasury Managed Fund (TMF) claims service provider (EML), solicitors, investigators, doctors and treatment providers.

  

This position is also responsible for maintaining information systems required for efficient workers compensation claims management.

Ideal Candidate

  • Has knowledge and experience in the application of current NSW workers compensation legislative requirements for claims management and the calculation of claims payments.
  • Has experience in the management of payroll operations, including the calculation of pays.
  • Capable to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with workers, injury management and workers compensation team members, managers, supervisors, claims managers, solicitors, investigators, doctors and treatment providers.
