What you'll be doing
We are seeking a dedicated Wardsperson to support nursing staff and assist with the delivery of basic patient care. This role includes key responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of the ward.
Daily Responsibilities will see you:
- Assisting nursing staff with daily living activities of patients.
- Undertaking transportation and mortuary duties.
- Providing general support within the ward.
- Assisting with cleaning and maintaining ward standards.
- Ensuring efficient delivery of basic care services.

Selection Criteria:
- Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, visitors, staff and managers.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety, Manual Handling and Infection control principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse and physically challenging position/workload.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients, including ability to read and write in English.
- Ability to complete tasks either in a team environment or unsupervised all within a measurable timeframe.
- Able to do a rotating roster.
