Lead volunteer workforce culture, manage recruitment, coordinate activities and fundraising, oversee finances, and maintain communication for BMDH.

Remuneration: $106,142 - $125,241 per annum
Hours Per Week:  30 (Job Share may be considered)

What you'll be doing
The Volunteer Manager oversees the coordination of the volunteer and auxiliary contingent workforce, and volunteer fundraising. 
Specifically, the role coordinates and manages the Volunteer workforce including orientation, allocation of duties, maintenance of volunteer rosters and proactively identifies new and innovative ways to improve the patient experience through patient interaction programs. This role oversees all volunteer fundraising activities and wish lists to ensure resources are used efficiently and effectively in line with the hospitals’ objectives.

Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrated experience managing and coordinating an effective and multifaceted volunteer service in a health related setting.
  2. Demonstrated experience in successfully managing commercial operations/auxiliary services run by volunteers including all financial operations and record keeping.
  3. Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of structured volunteer programs that enhance the patient experience.
  4. Demonstrated high level written and interpersonal skills, including the ability to resolve conflict and manage challenging situations and people.
  5. Demonstrated experience in coordinating and delivering events to a range of stakeholders.
  6. Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to prioritise and mange own workload.
  7. Demonstrated capacity to inspire and motivate volunteers to support the objectives of Blacktown and Mount Druitt hospitals.
  8. Class C driver's licence
