What you'll be doing
This position is integral to delivering high-quality health care within WSLHD, you will be focusing on improving patient outcomes and supporting organisational priorities. Ideal for professionals committed to excellence and innovation. Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Managing and coordinating specialised health programs or services. 
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimise care delivery. 
  • Mentoring and supporting junior staff to foster professional development. 
  • Ensuring adherence to WSLHD’s values and clinical governance standards.

  1. Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with at least 5 years' full time equivalent post registration experience and post graduate qualifications with at least 3 years' full-time experience within tuberculosis prevention and care with the authority to provide immunisation (ACN Immunisation for Health Practitioners or equivalent), tuberculin skin testing (TST) and BCG vaccination in NSW.
  2. Demonstrated extensive understanding of tuberculosis and the current management in line with current clinical practice, policies and procedure.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team environment
  4. Demonstrated clinical skills and the ability to provide expert clinical education and training on complex issues
  5. Proven ability to consult, review, and develop, both new and existing policies and procedures within the relevant specialty
  6. Experience with health related ITS systems and MS Office based programs.
