We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Trainees in Anaesthesia to join our dynamic team. The primary purpose of the role is to provide high-quality anaesthetic care in a complex clinical environment, under supervision appropriate to the level of training and in accordance with the standards of the relevant training program.
This position is open to doctors undertaking training with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA), or as part of the CICM, ACEM, or Diploma of Rural Generalist Anaesthesia programs, where applicable.
Trainees will be expected to extend their knowledge and skills across a range of anaesthesia subspecialties to meet the professional standards set by ANZCA. Responsibilities include delivering anaesthesia, perioperative care, and pain management services both inside and outside the operating theatre, as well as undertaking duties in other clinical areas during rotations.
You will work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and gain experience across key areas of anaesthetic practice, including:
- Anaesthesia and sedation (including obstetric anaesthesia, where relevant)
- Regional anaesthesia
- Airway management
- Pain medicine
- Perioperative medicine
- Resuscitation
- Trauma and crisis management
