- Tertiary qualifications in work health and safety (WHS) and/or significant experience working at a senior level in this specialist area.
- Demonstrated expertise in analysing and investigating WHS issues, and accident prevention programs.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a professional team to drive results and improvement workplace safety culture.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or experience in developing and implementing instructional/educational programs for an adult learning environment.
- Demonstrated detailed knowledge of all relevant NSW Work Health and Safety legislation, Dangerous Goods regulations, and NSW Health Standards and codes.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, clinicians, and support staff, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to plan, implement and evaluate strategies to manage WHS issues, including risk-management strategies and audit programs.
- Current Unencumbered Class C drivers licence with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
