About us
The Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) leads innovation in clinical care across NSW. We do this by bringing clinicians, patients and healthcare managers together to design and implement new ways to deliver healthcare. 


About the Opportunity
The Stream Lead is responsible for the overall management and leadership of a stream portfolio of clinical networks, including budget and staff performance management, developing and driving the stream work plan, and meeting organisational and system requirements and deliverables in relation to the stream portfolio.

The purpose of the role is to drive sustainable change in the delivery of healthcare that improves clinical practice, reduces inappropriate unwarranted clinical variation and improves patient outcomes.

The role ensures the development and implementation of statewide initiatives that respond to identified and changing priorities, ensuring extensive clinical engagement and the collaboration of a wide group of stakeholders. The position holder will provide high-level advice to the ACI Executive, actively contribute as a member of the ACI Senior Leadership team, and work in close partnership with the Executive Director, other senior leaders, clinical networks, and key stakeholder organisations.

Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrated experience and record of achievement in successfully managing and leading large, complex projects with competing priorities and deadlines at a state level.
  2. Demonstrated systems thinking on health policy issues and a track record of successfully applying innovative approaches and creative solutions to address complex problems.
  3. Experience in leading, managing and supporting multidisciplinary teams within a complex organisation, including coaching managers, leading through change, building capability and fostering a customer and patient focused work culture.
  4. Demonstrated experience in interacting effectively with senior management and external partners, to represent and present on behalf of the organisation.
