About the role:
As a social worker at HealthOne Quirindi, you'll be part of a passionate team dedicated to making a real difference in people's lives. You'll provide high quality clinical assessment and intervention for clients, their families and carers to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes.

In this role, you will provide essential social work assessment and support for individuals facing various challenges, ensuring their safety and advocating for their well-being. Your expertise will play a critical role in helping clients navigate obstacles, develop effective coping strategies, and access the necessary resources to enhance their quality of life.

We’re committed to setting you up for success! You’ll receive a thorough orientation, with all the tools and support necessary to excel in your role. You will be linked to the HNELHD Northern Social Work network, with professional support from the Northern Professional Lead – Social Work and provided supportive clinical supervision arrangements.

Nestled in the scenic Liverpool Plains and affectionately known as the ‘nest in the hills,’ Quirindi offers breathtaking landscapes, rolling green pastures, and stunning sunflower fields. Located less than an hour from Tamworth, this welcoming town is the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful lifestyle while making a meaningful impact in the community.

HealthOne Quirindi provides an integrated primary and community health service, incorporating General Practice, Community Health and visiting services. These services work in partnership to provide client-centre, comprehensive and coordinated care to the local community, encompassing the Liverpool Plains. The key objectives of the HealthOne NSW model include health risk identification, illness prevention, early intervention, chronic / complex disease management and multidisciplinary planned care. This position will also provide inreach services for Quirindi Hospital and Werris Creek MPS as required. Our collaborative approach ensures high-quality, coordinated care for the Liverpool Plains community.

About you:
We are looking for a dedicated professional with skills and experience relevant to a rural generalist social work caseload, who is not only compassionate, respectful, and genuine in their care for others but also deeply committed to making a meaningful difference in people's lives. The ideal candidate will approach each client with empathy, actively listen to their concerns, and provide thoughtful, individualised support.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor in Social Work or equivalent with eligibility for membership with Australian Association of Social Work (AASW), or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
