  1. Being female is recognised as a genuine occupation qualification and is authorised under section 31(2h) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
  2. Holds a Tertiary degree in Social Work, Psychology or a Bachelor Degree in a Heath related field with an emphasis on human behaviour, psychosocial development and counselling or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
  3. Demonstrate advanced operational, strategic, financial and clinical knowledge, with extensive post graduate experience providing, managing and leading crisis intervention, medical and counselling services to children, young people and adults impacted by sexual assault.
  4. Demonstrate advanced understanding of NSW Health Sexual Assault and Child Protection Policy and Procedures.
  5. Demonstrate extensive management and experience leading and coordinating a multidisciplinary approach to service delivery, including crisis service, counselling, case management, supervising staff, proven ability to manage conflict and individual and team performance and department decision making.
  6. Demonstrated leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of service delivery incorporating quality improvement, policy/procedure development, in a timely and cost effective manner.
  7. Demonstrated commitment to Evidence Based Practice (EBP) and experience implementing EBP into service planning and evaluation of service changes.
  8. Demonstrated high level communication skills (oral and written) including advocacy and negotiation skills with demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining partnerships and working effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  9. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
