About the opportunity
The Senior Support Officer plays an important role within the Communications & Engagement team, assisting with the planning and delivery of a wide range of communications activities. In this position, you will support the Communications and Engagement leadership team by drafting clear and accessible content, coordinating information gathering, managing sensitive requests, assisting with event support and formal reporting.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders—including senior executives, government agencies, and the media—to ensure information is managed appropriately and communications are delivered according to organisational standards. The position also involves supporting the development of communication strategies, preparing materials for multiple audiences and channels, and helping to monitor team activities and performance.

Flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced, complex environment are key for success in this role. The Senior Support Officer reports to the Manager, Corporate and Digital Communications.

This is a temporary full-time opportunity for approximately a 9-month period until 28 June 2026. Remuneration will be determined with the successful candidate.

Please note that as Health Infrastructure is an organisation of NSW Health, the successful applicant must reside in NSW or be willing to relocate if appointed. This recruitment may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future roles (ongoing or temporary) that may arise over the next 18 months.

About you
We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to draft clear, accessible content. The ideal applicant will have experience in supporting communications and engagement initiatives within large or complex settings and be comfortable coordinating information and managing sensitive requests with discretion.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels—including senior executives and government agencies—is highly valued.

Proficiency in event coordination, reporting and supporting the delivery of communication strategies will set you apart. Flexibility, initiative, and a commitment to supporting high-quality, impactful projects across NSW will ensure your success in this role.
