For this role, we are looking for a health care professional with:

·       Tertiary qualification as a Social Worker and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

·       A minimum of 3 years clinical experience with clinical experience at level 2 or higher.

The Role

The Senior Social Worker works closely with the Social Care Team Leader to provide senior clinical leadership within social work. The Senior Social Worker contributes to service provision through optimisation of patient/client care delivery by leading quality initiatives and supporting, mentoring and developing Social Worker and other staff within the Forensic Hospital and wider Forensic Mental Health system.

 

The Senior Social Worker is expected relieve the Social Care Team Leader during periods of leave. 

Our Location, Team, and Service

The Forensic Hospital is a high-secure forensic mental health facility in New South Wales, operated by Justice Health NSW. This facility provides specialist, therapeutic inpatient care for adults and adolescent forensic, correctional, and high-risk civil patients. 

A multidisciplinary team of medical, nursing, and allied health professionals provide care across the clinical spectrum, from high dependency and acute care, to long stay and rehabilitation care.

Salary & Benefits

Your salary of $116,892 - $120,680 per annum (Pro-rata for Part time) plus superannuation, as aligned with the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award (click to view), is just the beginning.
