What you will bring to the role:
- Degree in Social Work from an accredited course providing eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers and a commitment to maintaining a professional skill and knowledge base. Overseas qualifications must supply the AASW Overseas Assessment number
- Current NSW State Driver Licence, including P1 or above and willingness to use for work purposes. This may include driving long distances across NBMLHD.
- Demonstrated extensive postgraduate clinical experience in the delivery of Social Work services, with a demonstrated advanced ability to analyse problems, set priorities and apply a range of options to support client goal setting and care plans. Extensive specialist knowledge with adult clients who have chronic and complex health conditions and of the community services relevant to this group. Ability to demonstrate advanced reasoning skills and operate autonomously with minimal direct clinical supervision. Ability to apply professional knowledge and judgement when performing novel, complex or critical social work tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team to create a holistic and cohesive approach to service delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, as well as experience in the clinical supervision of undergraduate Social Workers.
- Commitment to professional development and training and willingness to engage positively in clinical supervision and performance development processes.
- Demonstrated high level verbal, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders throughout all organisational levels.
- Capacity to provide advice to service managers on clinical service development, practice and redesign.
