SCHN - Staff Specialist - Respiratory Medicine, SCH - Permanent and Temporary (eCredential)
- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist (FRACP) with recognised training in Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Medicine and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine and management of complex and rare diseases at the role delineation of the service.
- Proven expertise in the performance and interpretation of lung function tests, with experience in cardio-pulmonary exercise testing desirable.
- Proven expertise in the performance and interpretation of flexible bronchoscopy
- Ongoing commitment to research and translating research into clinical practice and possesses (or enrolled in) a higher research degree is desirable.
- Proven expertise in working effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
- Proven expertise in working effectively with stakeholders, including consumers
- Availability to participate in an on-call roster, including weekend and public holiday cover, and to respond on site within a reasonable time

The preferred applicant may be considered for the award of a conjoint academic title at a level commensurate with his/her qualifications and experience. The award of the academic title will also confer membership upon the appointee of the relevant University. The academic title will be held for the duration of The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network appointment. No remuneration is attached to the University appointment. The appointee will be responsible to the University for academic matters and to The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network for clinical matters.
