Registered Nurse/Midwife - Special Care Nursery - Port Macquarie Base Hospital

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with the Nurses & Midwives Board of Australia and a postgraduate qualification in child and family health nursing practice or willingness to undertake this qualification.
- Demonstrated nursing skills, knowledge and competency in the provision of nursing and midwifery care relevant to an acute hospital setting.
- Demonstrated clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan and coordinate nursing and midwifery patient care in a multidisciplinary team environment providing outcome-based care.
- Participation in a seven day rotating roster including public holidays and night duty.
- Knowledge, skills and abilities and Neonatal Intensive Care nursing and acute neonatal settings providing care consistent with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council competency standards or willingness to gain experience and work towards.
- Demonstrated commitment and responsibility for professional practice through continuing development of self, with a relevant neonatal course or willingness to undertake postgraduate qualification in neo-natal nursing.
