Muswellbrook Hospital is proud to be part of the Hunter Lower Mid-North Coast Region within the Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD). About your new role:

This position offers the opportunity to work within a flexible, rotating roster system, allowing you to maintain a balanced and dynamic work schedule while providing exceptional patient care. In the Emergency Department, you will play a crucial role in caring for patients across all areas, responding to a wide variety of acute conditions and emergencies. Your experience will be vital in delivering high-quality, timely care to patients experiencing medical crises, trauma, or other urgent health issues.
Additionally, in the General Ward, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to both medical and surgical patients. This involves managing a range of patient needs, from pre-operative assessments and post-surgical recovery to supporting those with chronic illnesses or acute medical conditions. Throughout both areas, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure each patient receives personalized, holistic care aimed at achieving the best possible outcomes. This position provides a great opportunity to develop a broad skill set while working in a fast-paced and supportive environment.


Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Previous experience working in an emergency department, including triaging patients.

  • *Based on a minimum 18-month commitment to the position. All payments made to part time employees will be on a pro-rata basis.
