- Current Registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with demonstrated evidence of extensive recent Midwifery experience.
- A strong commitment to achieving safe clinical outcomes for women and their families experiencing pregnancy loss and HG.
- Demonstrate experience in interpreting early pregnancy results including pathology and ultrasound. Competency in IV cannulation advantageous or commitment or obtain competency in the same.
- Demonstrate knowledge in assessment and management of HG in pregnancy with understanding of extended care requirements.
- Demonstrates strong organisational skills, time management skills, with ability to work both independently within scope of practice and collaboratively following consultation and referral guidelines.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills with verbal and written with women and the wider multidisciplinary team, demonstrating computer literacy with EMR and E Maternity with ability to maintain accurate documentation.
- Ability to collate statistics, collate reports and collect women’s stories to assist in maternity informatics and evaluation of women’s experiences.
- Demonstrates understanding in supporting the emotional needs of women and consideration of relevant referrals for EPAS and HG.
