  1. A degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
  2. Thorough understanding of quality improvement principles in the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and demonstrated experience in applying quality improvement methodology
  3. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex, detailed and innovative strategies in a coherent manner
  4. Ability to undertake project planning, implementation and evaluation
  5. Highly developed strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills, and demonstrated strength in solving patient and staff concerns
  6. Demonstrated effective planning and organising skills in a high-volume work environment with the ability to deliver multiple outcomes, make complex judgements and take initiative within delegated responsibilities and timeframes
  7. Highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders and work collaboratively with a range of clinicians and non-clinicians

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.​

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
