What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of the Provisional Fellow in Interventional Cardiology is to aid in providing interventional cardiology procedures such as cardiac catheterisation and coronary stenting. The successful candidate is responsible for accurate record-keeping, audit of services provided, as well as to conduct of research studies in the cardiac catheterisation laboratory. This position is accountable to the Head of Department Cardiology at RPA Hospital.

- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Evidence of appropriate qualifications relevant to the position (e.g. successful completion of core cardiology training with FRACP or equivalent).
- Sound clinical knowledge of invasive cardiac procedures.
- Experience in cardiovascular research.
- Demonstrated strong organisational skills, ability to manage competing priorities and be flexible to change with proven ability to work both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to present information in a manner understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with research concepts and commitment to supporting basic, applied or clinical research as required within each sub-specialty.
- Ability to exercise discretion, sensitivity and maintain confidentiality.
