Selection Criteria:

  1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.

  2. Registered with RACP as an Advanced Trainee. This may include General Paediatrics, Community Child Health, dual training in Adolescent & Young Adult Medicine, Chapter of Addiction Medicine and/or Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. It is preferable to be in the final years of advanced training.

  3. Demonstrated capacity to work with vulnerable youth and their families.

  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with other health professionals, children, adolescents and families and skills and experience working in a multidisciplinary team.

  5. Demonstrated interest in Adolescent Medicine.

  6. Demonstrated adaptability to the differing needs of children, adolescents, young adults and their families.

  7. Demonstrated skills in teaching and a willingness to provide education and supervision to junior staff and students.

  8. Demonstrated understanding of research methodology or research experience and a willingness to undertake research.
