Where you'll be working
Child Development Team - HNEKids 
The Child Development Team (CDT) is a community-based, multidisciplinary team in Wallsend that specialises in providing developmental assessments for children aged 18 months to 12 years. We are a tertiary multidisciplinary team who see families with children who are experiencing difficulties in 2 or more areas of their development. 

What you'll be doing
The Provisional Fellow position in Community Child Health provides Advanced Trainees an opportunity to further their training, developing skills important for a consultant role in the spheres of clinical care, education and training as well as research with support from the team consultants and other health care professionals. The Provisional Fellow role is a leadership role, both within the department for other junior medical staff and medical students as well as members of the multidisciplinary team, but also across the broader hospital community.

Please refer to the statement of duties for this position and contact the relevant contact person for further information about the positions. Job sharing arrangements for some positions may be considered. Trainees who have completed their FRACP requirements may not be eligible for these positions.
  1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
  2. Registered with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) as an advanced trainee or equivalent. Those registered with the RACP, must have preferably completed a minimum 6 months as an advanced trainee with RACP (or equivalent) at the commencement of Fellowship.
  3. 6 months experience in relevant subspecialty or equivalent. Please detail relevant experience.
  4. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
  5. Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with other health professionals.
  6. Ongoing commitment to further education and professional development and demonstrated ability to teach, with a willingness to participate in the teaching of Medical Students, Junior Medical Staff and other clinical staff.
  7. Understanding of research methodology or research experience and a willingness to undertake research proposal.
  8. Able to meet on call requirements of the individual positions.
