Selection Criteria:
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
- Registered with RACP as an Advanced Trainee. This may include General Paediatrics, Community Child Health, dual training in Adolescent & Young Adult Medicine, Chapter of Addiction Medicine and/or Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. It is preferable to be in the final years of advanced training.
- Demonstrated capacity to work with vulnerable youth and their families.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with other health professionals, children, adolescents and families and skills and experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated interest in Adolescent Medicine.
- Demonstrated adaptability to the differing needs of children, adolescents, young adults and their families.
- Demonstrated skills in teaching and a willingness to provide education and supervision to junior staff and students.
- Demonstrated understanding of research methodology or research experience and a willingness to undertake research.
