Selection Criteria 

  1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant business, finance, project management or related discipline, and/or relevant experience.
  2. Understanding the current challenges and risks, major cost drivers impacting on financial and budget management and industry knowledge of best practice.
  3. Ability to implement standardised strategy or project management administrative and system processes within a large organisation, ideally within local or state government. The flexibility to adapt work manner and existing knowledge to support the needs of the stakeholders to ensure strategy or project targets are on track when underperformance occurs. Sound understanding of formal escalation and review processes.
  4. Sound communication and relationship management skills to deal with all levels of stakeholders to influence, negotiate and consult on complex issues.
  5. Results oriented, problem solving and analytical skills to challenge the status quo and improve existing systems.
  6. Ability to oversee the administrative needs of projects and programs to support overall governance and effective performance management.
  7. Ability to work within short timeframes on sensitive and complex matters and provide high level advice.
