What you'll be doing
The plumber role focuses on efficient and compliant maintenance of plumbing systems, ensuring all work meets NSW Health guidelines and WSLHD objectives. In this role you will:
- Conduct reactive and planned maintenance for plumbing systems.
- Perform mandatory inspections to ensure compliance.
- Adhere to statutory, legislative, and code requirements.
- Support WSLHD strategic and business goals.
- Ensure cost-effective and timely service delivery.

Essential Criteria:
- Qualifications: Current Plumber’s licence, or plumber tradesperson with qualification in one of the following: Gas fitter, Drainer; TMV, Backflow prevention.
- Plumber Level 1: Completed Apprenticeship and/or holds relevant trade certificate or equivalent
- Plumber Level 2: 120 hours of approved courses completed
- Plumber Level 3: 240 hours of approved courses completed
- Plumber Level 4: 360 hours of approved courses completed
Selection Criteria:
- Current Plumber’s licence, or plumber tradesperson with qualification in one of the following: Gas fitter, Drainer; TMV, Backflow prevention.
- Knowledge and proven ability to work with plumbing and hydraulic systems on a large campus
- Demonstrate skills level and experience in working with and servicing thermostatic mixing valves, and backflow prevention devices.
- Proven knowledge of a wide range of plumbing and hydraulic services systems.
- Experience in using spreadsheets and word processing, email and other Microsoft Office applications along with knowledge of computer maintenance management system software.
- The ability to maintain stock and workflow in a Plumbing workshop.
