The Opportunity
HealthShare NSW is seeking a motivated and experienced Prosthetics/Orthotics Service Manager to join the Enable NSW team in the Albury Prosthetics & Orthotics Service (APOS). The position reports directly to the Manager of Hunter and Albury Prosthetics Orthotics services.
The Prosthetic and Orthotic (P&O) Service Manager will manage the day-to-day clinical operation of the service and oversight clinical and technical staff in the assessment, planning and provision of prosthetic/orthotic devices to patients referred to the service.
We are seeking someone with demonstrated significant P&O team lead experience as well as clinical knowledge and experience in clinical P&O assessment, management and manufacture, who possesses a recognised Prosthetic/Orthotic qualification, is eligible for AOPA registration and has current knowledge of contemporary practices, trends and developments.
The preferred candidate will feel comfortable collaborating with a range of health professionals across Local Health Districts and other Government and Non-Government organisations
Albury Prosthetics Orthotics Service (APOS) is located in Lavington alongside the Southwest Brain Injury Service, and provides care to a range of Prosthetic and Orthotic patients of all ages. Specialising in rehabilitation, the service works in collaboration with internal/external referrers and multi-disciplinary allied health teams including high-risk foot clinics, tone and function clinics, operating theatres as well as physiotherapy and orthopaedic services. The APOS team, consisting of 9 clinical, 2 technical and 2 admin support positions, cares deeply about the positive patient care-experience. The team is passionate about assisting our clients, and their families, to achieve desired life goals and get them ‘moving through life’.
APOS is a registered NDIS provided and, as a service on a border town, APOS works with multiple funding agencies in both NSW and Victoria.
