- Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Significant recent clinical experience in a mental health setting and tertiary qualification in health management or working towards or a combination of study.
- Proven ability to manage and monitor staff performance across all domains including clinical practice, professional conduct and professional development within the Multidisciplinary Team model.
- Sound knowledge of the principles of clinical risk assessment and management, and therapeutic security in a high secure setting.
- Demonstrated experience in incident management and reporting systems within a quality improvement and governance framework.
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills with competency in computer literacy in a variety of applications.
- Proven ability to co-ordinate several activities simultaneously to meet identified outcomes and time lines.
- Proven effective leadership skills with commitment to practice development and implementation of these principles.
