Tresillian is currently recruiting for a dynamic Nursing Unit Manager to join the Centralised Intake Services (CIS) team at Tresillian Nepean.
The Nursing Unit Manager is the most senior person on site and is supported by the multidisciplinary senior clinical and executive team at Tresillian based in Sydney.
The NUM is responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the Centralised Intake Unit and is pivotal to the coordination of client care in the triage of client referrals to the most appropriate service based on the priority of the presenting parenting issue to ensure the delivery of high-quality client care and efficient use of resources. The position will also provide clinical leadership and have a clinical client load for part of the time.
The Royal Society for the Welfare of Mothers and Babies, trading as Tresillian, was formed in 1918 to coordinate early child and maternal health care services in New South Wales (NSW). Tresillian is now the largest early child and family health and parenting service in Australia, operating from four sites in metropolitan Sydney and numerous regional and rural sites supporting service provision to families across NSW, Victoria and ACT.

Selection Criteria – Applicants must address the Selection Criteria: 1) Registered Nurse (Current Registration or eligible for registration with AHPRA) with further qualification in Child & Family Health. 2) Postgraduate management qualifications or working towards the same; or experience in leadership or management roles in a health setting with a proven ability to manage, supervise and provide leadership to the team; and demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making. 3)Considerable experience in contemporary Child & Family Health. 4) Demonstrated ability to negotiate resolutions and manage conflict; creating and maintaining a positive workplace culture. 5) Demonstrated ability to evaluate clinical services and facilitate continuous improvements. 6) Demonstrate high level and effective written and verbal communication utilising Information and Communications Technology appropriately. 7) Experience in developing and/ or implementing organisational change programs. 8) Demonstrated organisational skills including the capacity to set priorities and work to deadlines.
