Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Department - Port Macquarie Base Hospital

1. Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and current practicing certificate to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or currently working toward endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with ability to complete requirements within a 2-3 year period.
2. At least 5 years full time equivalent post registration nursing experience with extensive clinical experience in Emergency Care and ability to function at an advanced autonomous level with a post graduate qualification relevant to Emergency Care/Trauma/Chronic Care.
3. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with proven ability to use appropriate teaching/learning strategies to educate and support others within the speciality and the profession.
4. Proven ability to critically evaluate and integrate relevant research findings into decision making about health care management and interventions.
5. Evidence of implementing interventions and monitoring outcomes to evaluate and improve patient care
6. Demonstrated advanced skills in the assessment, treatment and management of aged care psychogeriatric presentations.
7. Demonstrated comprehensive skills in clinical assessment including physical, mental health, social, ethnic and cultural dimensions.
8. Current NSW driver's licence and ability and willingness to travel for work purposes
