- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and current practicing certificate to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or currently working toward endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with ability to complete requirements within a 2-3 year period.
- At least 5 years full time equivalent post registration nursing experience with extensive clinical experience in Emergency Care and ability to function at an advanced autonomous level with a post graduate qualification relevant to Emergency Care/Trauma/Chronic Care.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with proven ability to use appropriate teaching/learning strategies to educate and support others within the speciality and the profession.
- Proven ability to critically evaluate and integrate relevant research findings into decision making about health care management and interventions.
- Evidence of implementing interventions and monitoring outcomes to evaluate and improve patient care
- Demonstrated advanced skills in the assessment, treatment and management of aged care psychogeriatric presentations.
- Demonstrated comprehensive skills in clinical assessment including physical, mental health, social, ethnic and cultural dimensions.
- Current NSW driver's licence and ability and willingness to travel for work purposes
