About your new role:
As the Nurse Manager – Emergency Services, you’ll step into a leadership role where compassion meets clinical excellence. At Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of Emergency Care, ensuring the delivery of the highest standard of patient-centred, evidence-based care. You will lead a dynamic, diverse, and skilled team to ensure a holistic approach to care and meet high-quality and safety standards for both patients and staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Emergency Department team to deliver compassionate, holistic care
- Providing professional leadership in nursing standards, clinical practice, policy, and education
- Supporting operational and strategic management, service planning, clinical innovation, and risk management
- Collaborating with the Director of the Emergency Department to ensure smooth daily operations
- Contributing to effective patient care coordination and clinical redesign
- Overseeing initiatives to meet key targets, such as Hospital Access Targets, Transfer of Care targets (TOC), and Emergency Triage targets
- Mentoring staff, fostering a collaborative environment, and encouraging shared decision-making underpinned by respect and mutual understanding
