Selection Criteria

  1. Current Authority to Practice as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a EPA licence to use radiation (IA14).
  2. Sound written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact with a wide range of people.
  3. Ability to provide a range of imaging services with required support, and to participate in the department roster including on-call as required.
  4. Ability to work within a team and share workloads according to skills and competencies.
  5. Ability to interpret request information and select an appropriate protocol.
  6. Understanding of legislation, regulations, policies and procedures affecting medical imaging.
  7. Commitment to continued professional development.
  8. Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This will involve driving long distances and overnight stays.



Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases
This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015.  All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
