Murrumbidgee LHD covers almost 125,243km2. We provide public health services to approximately 243,228 people across the Riverina, Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area and the South Western Slopes of NSW.

Where you'll be working
Wagga Wagga Health Service accommodates acute aged care inpatient beds, rehabilitation inpatient beds, an older person's mental inpatient unit, Hospital in the Home, expanded renal dialysis unit, expanded oral (dental) service, 60 clinic rooms and treatment spaces for allied health, outpatient, and community health services.

What you'll be doing
Visiting Dental Officers (VDO) will provide clinical general dentistry care to eligible patients of the Oral Health Service in Murrumbidgee Local Health District facilities, on a sessional fee basis.
The VDO will be expected to practice within their scope of practice.

Selection Criteria
- Registered or registrable by mutual recognition, as a Dentist, with the Dental Board of Australia. Must currently hold and maintain current professional medical/dental indemnity insurance
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of infection control principles.
- An understanding of current concepts in clinical practice including activity based and value-based care.
- Skills and commitment to work effectively in multi-disciplinary dental teams, with effective time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Adequate computer skills for clinical and associated applications.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality assurance and patient safety activities relevant to dental practice.
- Demonstrated technical and professional competence as a Board registered dentist.
