Mental Health Family and Carer Consultant

1. Degree or equivalent in nursing, social work, occupational therapy or graduates of the Bachelor of Health Science (Mental Health), with current AHPRA registration or respective professional body membership as applicable, including NSW Drivers Licence.
2. Minimum five years full time equivalent post registration experience with post graduate qualifications in related area.
3. Proven clinical leadership skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework with a demonstrated commitment to clinical practice including evidence based family and carer mental health interventions, continuous quality improvement, and research.
4. Demonstrated effective communication and inter-personal skills across a variety of mediums and knowledge of the practice development framework for clinical practice.
5. Demonstrated involvement in the development/change of clinical practice underpinned by evidence based research in family and carer mental health inclusive practice.
6. Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic and clinical service planning.
7. Proven skills in clinical teaching, and the identification and development of education needs in family and carer mental health, and competency in the use of contemporary information systems inclusive of word, excel, access, outlook and power point.
8. Has a lived experience supporting or caring for someone with a mental health issue and willing to identify as such to strategically and purposefully promote best outcomes clinically and to promote a family inclusive care.
