Selection Criteria:

  1. Social Worker or Occupational Therapist qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award Current full registration with AHPRA and/or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer; Registered Nurse with current registration with AHPRA including relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation; Recognised 4 year degree in Psychology, along with full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) and min 8 years’ experience post full registration.
  2. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with Police, Ambulance, Emergency Department staff, GP's, Psychiatrists, private allied health providers and Government and Non-Government providers as part of maintaining patient wellbeing and mental state.
  3. Demonstrated ability to comply with protocols in relation to staff safety in all service provision settings, maintaining patient case records, and following clear lines in relation to clinical accountability.
  4. Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge in mental health and drug and alcohol issues.
  5. Current registration as an Accredited Person under the NSW Mental Health Act 2007 or willingness to work towards achieving this.
  6. Demonstrated experience in assessment, care planning and coordination with mental health consumers in a community setting within a strengths and recovery oriented framework.
  7. Current NSW unrestricted drivers licence and willingness to travel in accordance with the position.
  8. Willingness to undertake alcohol and drug training and apply to a range of work practices.
